Meet Colin King
Effortless and evocative, Colin King is a designer known for spaces that feel elegantly at ease. Curious and deeply considered, his practice is interdisciplinary and ever-evolving, ranging from creative direction and product development to installation ideation and literature. Lucky for us, he’s our Artistic Director-at-Large.

The weave is ancient, the collection is of the present, the rug is what remains.
The Chelsea Collection
Designed with Colin King, The Chelsea Collection takes its cue from the hidden gardens of Europe's old cities: courtyards glimpsed through wrought-iron gates, planted squares tucked between townhouses, the quiet pockets of green you find by wandering. Its eight designs are the first woven in Royale, our name for an ancient hand-knotted technique once reserved for palace interiors and the homes of Moroccan nobility, and still practiced by only a handful of master weavers.

Italian Rationalism
Spoken Lines
Presented in custom dyed sun-faded tones of sienna, sage, fawn, desert rose, and the perfect shade of bone. The patterns and forms spring from the architectural shapes and palette of Mexican Architect Luis Barragán, the irregular repetitions of painter Agnes Martin, and the restrained yet powerful use of color by artist Ethan Cook.
